So What About Blinking Halloween Costumes?

What a wonderful time of year! Halloween…you gotta love it!  Every year the costumes just keep getting better and better.  The designs simply blow the costumes we had as a kid, right out of the water.  When I was a kid, you’re lucky if the costume you were getting actually lasted the whole night.  Very plastic, very uncomfortable, never re-used.

Not the case today!  Wow, not only are costumes today so comfortable, the material that is used is down right high quality stuff.  You’d be able to implement these in plays and movies even.  The detail that goes into some of these outfits for Halloween is just amazing.  And what is also amazing is the fact that now they can weave in fiber optic lights of any color for blinking Halloween costumes!  Whoa…these are just awesome!

Take for example the Gothic Bride Light-Up Child/Tween Costume, which is new for 2010.  Seems simple enough, but just look at the detail.  At the discount rate, this is a great light up costume.  It looks like a wedding-style dress and comes with a cobweb laced veil, black glove-lets and the over-skirt has green lights all within it.  I think the veil and glove-lets really tie this outfit together well.  The GREEN lights…helps the whole thing to “POP”.  All she needs is some black shoes to finish the look off.  Maybe even consider a choker for some added detail.

If it’s a sweeter looking light up costume you’re looking for, there are many fairy types.  For example, also new for 2010 is the Light-Up Coral Fairy Child Costume.  Very innocent, sweet and very beautiful.  This multi-layered skirt has BLUE twinkling lights.  Features also a cute pair of wings, and is a pink and aqua dress overall.  A sweet and adorable blinking costume that will certainly be a memory in pictures for years.  Add some fancy gold shoes to complete the outfit and maybe experiment with using some sparkling tights.

For the teenagers, there are some adorable selections that have lights in them.  The Switch Witch (Light-Up) Teen Costume for example is delightful…no pun intended.  I would consider adding some thigh-high stockings with this outfit, but the stretch velvet dress is amazing with details.  A skull print neckline, off the shoulder sleeves, uneven hem skirt that features PURPLE fiber optic lights and comes with an on/off switch that you have in a hidden pocket.  WOW!  Just too cool.  Of course a hat and a light-up wand too.  Her friends will certainly be envious…but aren’t they always.

The adults have some great selections too, and I could go on and on.  Let me feature one from the adult female category and one from the adult male category.  And you can navigate to see ALL of them for each category at the upper right-hand side of this website.

For the women, let’s look at what new for 2010, and just to note some of them are pretty sexy.  But a more glamorous outfit for the adult female is Glowing Goddess (Light-Up) Adult Costume.  This costume exudes class.  Just add some awesome gold sandals, roll on some gold body glitter and maybe some earrings and it’s complete.  The light up costume comes as an asymmetrical microfiber dress.  It has a gorgeous attached chiffon cape with golden leaf accents and the dress has GOLD fiber optic lights with again, the hidden pocket for the on/off switch.  And talk about details, a gold roped belt, foil armbands, head band with golden leaf….wowie zowie!  Any woman will look amazing in this get-up.

Men have a couple pretty cool options as well.  Not as many as the females, but pretty cool in any event.  Take a look at the Undead Pirate Adult blinking Halloween costume.  This costume will indeed help him to stand out amongst the crowd with his blinking bloody exposed chest.  The white top has tattered edges, also features an evil half skull mask, red and black belt.  Some good detail, no doubt.  Just put on some black pants, get some really cool Pirate Boots and a sword.  Chances are, this could be a winner at the next Halloween Party.

Every Halloween is a blast.  Whether you’re at a party, going out to Halloween celebrations, trick or treating with the kids…even dressed up to hand out candy during trick or treat.  No matter what, it is fun.  But it’s also very important to be safe.  So I wish you a very happy and safe Halloween.
